Why this work matters to us
We believe family portraits matter because the people and seasons we love do not stay the same forever. Our work is about creating finished artwork that helps families hold onto what matters now.
Before Nashville… before families gathered around finished artwork—
As a Combat Medic in Iraq, I carried a camera alongside everything else. The moments I witnessed were immediate and final. There was no second chance to recreate them later.
That experience changed the way I see photography. When I returned home, I continued photographing real life and eventually began working as a photojournalist in Nashville.
Over time, I realized the same truth applied to families: the people we love, the seasons we are in, and the moments we assume will always be there are not guaranteed. That is why I approach portrait photography as something meant to be lived with, not simply stored on a screen.
Today, that perspective shapes every
portrait experience we create.
We help families design meaningful portrait artwork around their home, their story, and the season of life they are in.
